Total trading value was 36.25 billion baht, with 7.86 billion shares changed hands.
The SET50 index dropped 9.76 points, or 0.98%, to 986.51 in trade worth 22.24 billion baht.
The MAI index tumbled 16.19 points, or 2.48%, to 636.04, with total transaction value of 2.55 billion baht.
Retail investors were the only buyers' group, with a net 2.86 billion baht. Foreign investors sold a net 1.19 billion baht, followed by brokers (965.99 million) and local institutions (701.12 million).
