The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index fell 19.18 points or 1.28% to 1,476.87 on Tuesday.
Total trading value was 38 billion baht, with 6.17 billion shares changed hands.
The SET50 index plummeted 13.36 points, or 1.36%, to 972.01 in trade worth 23.63 billion baht.
The MAI index sank 14.46 points, or 2.20%, to 641.70, with total transaction value of 1.48 billion baht.
Local individuals were the only buyers' group, with a net 2.8 billion baht. Foreign investors sold a net 1.66 billion baht, followed by brokers (674.50 million) and local institutions (461.64 million).
