SCB announces temporary ATM shutdown

SCB announces temporary ATM shutdown

The Siam Commercial Bank will close its ATM and internet banking system nationwide for six hours to upgrade the system and enhance security.

From 11pm on Aug 8 to 5am the next day, customers may not be able to use the bank's ATM, debit, Speedy, and MCMC Prompt cards anywhere, as well as at the ATMs of other banks, according to the bank's statement.

As well, they will not be able to make transfers to other banks through the bank's Easy Net internet banking, mobile banking (Easy App) and UP2ME.

However, they can still make transfers to other SCB accounts normally, the bank said.

Holders of its credit cards can still use them to pay for products and services through the eletronic data capture (EDC) system but not to get cash advance from any channels, it said.
