The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index rose 0.10%, or 1.28 points, to 1,307.57 on Friday.
Total trading value was 27.02 billion baht, with 5.97 billion shares changed hands.
SET50 index, however, fell 0.34%, or 2.80 points, to 825.48 in trade worth 15.57 billion baht.
MAI climbed 0.49%, or 2.48 points, to 510.29 in transaction value of 1.71 billion baht.
Brokers bought a net 1.40 billion baht, followed by foreigners (44.53 million). Local institutions sold a net 1.06 million, followed by small investors (389.25 million).
Year-to-date, foreign investors sold a combined 8.74 billion baht while local institutions were the biggest buyers, at 6.62 billion.
