Total trading value was 45.36 billion baht, with 10.76 billion shares changed hands.
SET50 index plummeted 2.13%, or 17.49 points, to 804.55 in trade worth 28.28 billion baht.
MAI fell 1.52%, or 7.78 points, to 504.04 in transaction value of 2.69 billion baht.
Small investors bought a net 1.64 billion baht, followed by local institutions (480.97 million) and foreigners (193.20 million). Brokers sold a net 2.31 billion baht.
Year-to-date, foreign investors sold a combined 11.28 billion baht while brokers were the biggest buyers, at 7.08 billion.
