Nissan says first-car programme distorts market

Nissan is unhappy with the government's first-time car buyer programme, saying the excise tax rebate for the passenger car purchases distorts competition.

Toru Hasegawa, president of Nissan Motors (Thailand)Co and Pranapda Phornprapha, director of Siam Motors Sales and Siam Motors Trading, open the local distributor’s 11th showroom onNew Phetchaburi Road in Bangkok yesterday.

"The tax rebate for cars is complicated, confusing and questionable," said Toru Hasegawa, the president of Nissan Motor Thailand.

    Sorry to say that your comments are useless to this government. They do whatever they "think" is right. They don't care what others think. Any scheme that benefits them as a whole would be implemented regardless of what others say since they have a majority in the House.
