Hydrotek makes a splash

Hydrotek (HYDRO), a wastewater treatment and recycling company, began trading yesterday on the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI).
With an IPO price of 3.39 baht for 30 million shares, the stock opened at 5.60 baht, up 65%. It closed yesterday at 4.76 baht in trade worth 385.9 million baht.
Hydrotek CEO Slib Soongswang said the listing would help the company raise funds for expansion and investment in wastewater plant projects. The market is expected to widen in support of factories located in flood-hit areas.
