Lenovo, the world's second-largest maker of personal computers (PCs), has announced an aggressive plan to increase its Asean sales with the aim of becoming a top-three player in the region.
The move by the Beijing-based firm is aimed at capitalising on next year's expected 20% growth in the regional PC market, double the global rate.
"We expect our share of the Asean market to increase to 10% next year from 8% this year, making us No.3 from No.4 currently," said Koh Kong Meng, the general manager of Lenovo Asean.
