The State Railway of Thailand and City Hall have vowed to fight for the right to run the Chatuchak weekend market at the weekly cabinet meeting today.
The SRT, which owns the 68-rai of land where the market is situated, will insist on reclaiming the management rights of the market when the lease with City Hall expires on Jan 2.
Deputy Transport Minister Chatt Kuldiloke claimed yesterday City Hall was not sincere about its intentions to renew the contract with the SRT.
