Thailand's vehicle sales in 2012 are expected to grow 27% and surpass an unprecedented one million units against a backdrop of global economic and natural disaster uncertainty, says Tri Petch Isuzu Sales (TPIS).
President Hiroshi Nakagawa cautioned that a combination of internal and external factors would challenge market expectations, adding that the one-million-unit forecast should be seen as an "early year" prediction.
"An accurate forecast will be difficult because the Thai car market depends on global markets and factors such as natural disasters," Mr Nakagawa said.
