Used Benz dealer eyes 68% growth

Benz Amorn Ratchada, the used Mercedes-Benz dealer, set an unprecedented sales growth target of nearly 70% this year despite suffering a setback from massive flooding late last year.

"We are very confident in our target, given our strong performance in the used Mercedes market in Bangkok and at our first provincial branch in Cha-am. Our goal is based on the assumption that no natural disasters happen this year," said executive director Wannapa Tangbanyong.

The company posted total sales of 520 million baht in 2011 from sales of 250 used Mercedes and 17.8 million baht in maintenance and repair revenue from Amorn Care Co, better known as StarServ servicing for Mercedes from other dealers.

Well, we'd all better hope that not too many Government officials are caught with their hands in the cookie jar, if they are to reach their sales targets!
