Buoyed by its continued success in the Thai market, Japanese tyre-maker Yokohama allocated over 10 million baht for marketing a wide range of motorsport activities this year.
The budget was set aside to support both racing teams and racers in motorsports this year, especially the Bangsaen Thailand Speed Festival 2012 in Chon Buri province, with the hope the event could increase consumer awareness of their high-performance tyre quality.
Yutaka Furukawa, the director of Yokohama Tire Sales (Thailand), said the marketing activities are expected to contribute to the company's sales growth this year.
