Feeling Green on phi phi
French firm Abalone shares the experience of building its green headquarters here
Barnabe Baudu, a 27-year-old project manager from France, has been to Koh Phi Phi a couple times since his boss, Francois-Xavier Moutel, chief executive of the Abalone Group, opened a hotel on the island two years ago.
‘Mission Zero Carbon’ electric cars used by Abalone are parked at the company’s local headquarters. The firm wants to help make Thailand offices more environmentally friendly.
Once Mr Baudu found out how expensive electricity is on the island, he seized on the opportunity to bring his company's experience in green energy to Thailand.
