GM moving towards a larger local presence

New-generation MPV scheduled for 2013

SAO PAOLO, BRAZIL : General Motors (GM) plans to strengthen its foothold in Thailand's multipurpose vehicle (MPV) segment in a drive to boost what it dubs "an amazing growth market".

Carlos Barba, the executive director of design at GM Brazil, gives the thumbs up for the Chevrolet Spin, a new-generation MPV that will be introduced to Thailand in the second half of next year.

The US carmaker will introduce a new-generation MPV, the Chevrolet Spin, in Thailand in the second half of next year, a multipurpose seven-seater that will be assembled in Indonesia.
