New devices challenging sales of PCs

- +

Local sales of personal computers this year will rise less than expected, stung by the growing popularity of smartphones and tablets, according to one research company.

Such growth would be smaller than the previous projection of a 13% rise, research manager Attaphon Satidkanitkul said last Thursday.
