Car scheme hits lower-end house sales

Sales of lower-end townhouses and single houses are feeling the pinch from the first-time car buyer scheme and are likely to take 3-5 years to recover, says developer Tararom Group.

Managing director Wasan Kiangsiri said the government programme would definitely absorb some spending of prospective homebuyers in the two housing segments.

Townhouses priced 1-2 million baht and single houses priced 2.5 million baht require monthly repayments in line with the car scheme.

    This PT government have a perchance for solving a problem with a new problem. Maybe they will build a new Capital city to replace Bangkok or move all the factories to the western provinces near Myanmar’s Dawei.
