LG bent on regaining air-con leadership

LG Electronics (Thailand) Co will spend 1.9 billion baht to expand its electrical appliance business this year. 

The investment budget, up 20% from last year, will go to improving production capacity at LG's Rayong factory and supporting marketing activity.

Deputy managing director Alongkorn Chujit said 1.2 billion baht will be set aside for marketing and 300 million baht will go to increasing production capacity for air conditioners to 1.2 million units, up from 1 million in 2012.
