Japan's Toray Industries, the integrated chemicals group, is spending 17 billion baht in Thailand to double sales revenue here by 2020.

President Akihiro Nikkaku said the investment is aimed at increasing the sales contribution of the group's carbon fibre, water treatment and pharmaceutical businesses to 20%, while holding fibres and plastics at 55% and 20% respectively.
