Hitachi Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd will allocate 1 billion baht to build brand awareness and promote its home appliances to drive sales beyond the industry's growth rate this year.
About 200 million baht will be geared towards air conditioners.
Brand awareness of Hitachi air conditioners remains weak among Thai consumers. It has only a 5% market share of the total market at 1 million units a year, said Boonchai Putakotirat, senior manager for sales and marketing.
