GWM plans $300m plant

SUV, truck output of 100,000 projected

Great Wall Motor Co Ltd (GWM), China's largest producer of sport-utility vehicles and one of the biggest producers of pickup trucks, plans to invest about US$300 million to set up an SUV production plant in Thailand. 

The Great Wall Motor Co’s Haval SUV receives awarm introduction from a model at the Bangkok motor show.

Deputy general manager Wang Shi Hui said the plant will produce 100,000 vehicles per year on an area of 800,000 square metres.
