Enter a new era 2017 with an international seminar "Opportunity Thailand", organized by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) to show Thailand’s potential and readiness to become "Thailand 4.0".
Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha will join the opening ceremony and deliver a keynote speech on the topic "Thailand 4.0 Means Opportunity Thailand".
Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Minister to the Prime Minister Office, Dr. Uttama Savanayana, Minister of Industry and Mrs. Hirunya Suchinai, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment, will give insight into government measures to promote investment and revision to the Investment Promotion Act which will be among the key drivers propelling "Thailand 4.0" forward.
Senior executives of world-renowned companies will also join the seminar to discuss in depth the creation of Thailand 4.0. Among the companies represented will be executives from the Airbus Group, Ajinomoto from Japan, and Huawei Technologies from China. Plus leading figures in the Thai private sector, including from Charoen Pokphand Group, Siam Cement Group and more.
"Opportunity Thailand" will also include breakout seminar sessions. These sessions will target the "New S-Curve Industries" including aerospace, automation, robotics and medical equipment.
Alongside the seminars, "Opportunity Thailand" also includes an exhibition showcasing Thailand’s potential and readiness to become the hub of trade and investment in ASEAN, the so-called the "Gateway to ASEAN", and the world’s investment destination in targeted industries.
The exhibition also showcases development plans for Thailand’s new investment areas and infrastructure, including the Eastern Economic Corridor development plans, and Infrastructure and logistics development plans for the next 10 years.
