Cabinet approves B15,000 pay, first-home tax claim

The cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal to raise the cost of living allowance for state officials to ensure they receive at least 15,000 baht a month, and endorsed the 10 per cent tax write-off scheme for first-time home buyers.

Deputy government spokeswoman Anuttama Amornvivat said the plan to increase the cost of living allowance will start on Jan 1.

    I’m so, so glad that we finally have an Establishment that is not feathering its own nest with public funds at the expense of the private sector, the proletariat and the rural and urban underclasses.

    I am sure the lower income people are now wondering what they would get in return. The answer should be the higher cost of food. By implementing these minimum salary, minimum wage, tax rebates for cars and houses scheme, Thailand's inflation would rise at a fast rate. Now let's see who would suffer at the end.
