NESDB: Q1 GDP up 0.3% y-o-y

Thailand's gross domestic product growth for the first quarter of 2012 rose 0.3 per cent year-on-year and 11 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2011, National Economic and Social Development Board secretary-general Arkhom Termpittayapaisith said on Monday.

Mr Arkhom said manufacturing production, consumption, investment and tourism had resumed following last year's floods. The industrial sector and exports had bounced back particularly well.
