Exports in July fell 4.46 per cent year-on-year and had a total worth of US$19.544 billion, Deputy Commerce Minister Poom Sarapol said on Wednesday.
Mr Sarapol said imports totalled $21.290 billion, up by 13.73 per cent from a year earlier.
The country had a trade deficit of $1.746 billion last month.
Exports over the first seven months of 2012 were down from the same period last year by 0.4 per cent to $131.809 billion, while imports went up 10.50 per cent to $143.895 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of $12.086 billion.
