Your little heart is hurt? Kevin Michael Rudd, former PM of Australia, and Jon Huntsman, former state governor, US ambassador to China, Republican presidential candidate, speak fluent Chinese. Timothy Franz Geithner, the current US Secretary of the Treasury, once studied Chinese language in Peking University in 1980s. Obama’s daughters are having some Chinese language classes. Singapore is encouraging English and Chinese bilingual educations in recent years..

Most big chinese factories and wholesalers have english speaking workers/managers.
Some of the biggest retail outlets in uk buy alot of their items from china, flying out to china to meet the managers etc. They all speak english and if they dont they have translators as not many of the uk staff that go out can speak chinese!
The chinese WANT to do business with the rest of world THAT is the difference!
Yes it would be good if we could speak chinese maybe get better deals but most thais i know struggle with thai, let alone english and chinese, education in thailand is disgraceful!
