Galaxy Note II infringes patents: Apple

Apple Inc has sought to add infringement claims over six more Samsung Electronics products including the Galaxy Note II to its multibillion-dollar patent lawsuit against the South Korea-based company.

Apple has said that Samsung products running on the new Android Jelly Bean operating system, and other products running on the Ice Cream Sandwich system should be added to the case, according to filings in San Jose federal court in California. Jelly Bean is Google Inc's latest version of the Android operating system that runs on Samsung mobile devices.

Apple on Nov 23 asked the court to add to its case the Galaxy S III, running the new Jelly Bean system, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wifi tablet computer, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Rugby Pro and Galaxy S III mini, according to court papers.

    Agreed, used to love apple, now hate them, and their latest OS is below par. Developing on their apps platforms is a nightmare, they're too busy now fighting for their monopoly and forgot to pay attention to their superior product. There was an interesting news debate recently on CNBC about these big companies lining up as many patents as possible to use them in courts to ban the competition. apple have a patent on the 'page turning' action as a digital movement, how ridiculous!

    @Dao and @fineguy: there is nothing wrong with monopoly achieved by excellence (of products, etc.) and being rewarded by popular acceptance. This is not to be confused with anti-trust practice which is illegal. Ultimately, the consumers will decide what they want just like you having the right to buy or not buy any products.

    Agree with both of you.

    @dao

    You're very correct. I'm never going to buy an apple product ever again. I hate monopolies.

    My decision to never buy Apple is based on two things .Firstly they are overpriced and secondly their monopolistic attitude .You dont own the world Apple You are just a passing trend .
