After a colourful protest yesterday that attracted a hundred policemen, the two opposite camps of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) finally softened their stances and agreed to settle their months-long row.
Chairman Payungsak Chartsutthipol and the opposition group, led by former vice-chairman Tanit Sorat, yesterday agreed to set up committees to work out their differences and hopefully end the conflict.
"Although we have not agreed on a deadline, I would say an agreement should be reached within 10 days at the latest," said Mr Tanit.
