KBank bids to help support franchises

Kasikornbank aims to double small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) loans to franchisees to 1.2 billion baht by the end of the year, thanks to strong growth of the segment of 15-20% per year.
The bank forecasts franchise market value will reach 328 billion baht this year, rising 82% from 180 billion baht in 2011.
About 330 master franchise operators have 63,000 franchisees nationwide, said KBank's first senior vice-president Pipavat Bhadranavik.
