Akzo Nobel Paints (Thailand), the local unit of the Dutch paint producer, is ramping up its franchise expansion for the Dulux brand, aiming for 30 Dulux Color Design Centers nationwide this year, up from 11 now.
"Our current investment is solidly behind our Dulux brand, particularly in driving consumer engagement with decoration and educating the public that repainting is not as tedious as it seems. Affordability is also a focus with the launch of our mid-tier paints Dulux Inspire 18 months ago, which caters to the mass market, an area we haven't previously engaged," said managing director Chroong Kanjchanapoomi.
"Through our design centres, we're also helping our traditional trade outlets to modernise their retail stores to cater for this mindset of consumer involvement in painting."
