The managed float of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) price for household use is unlikely to begin next month as planned, as the subsidy plan for the target group is not ready, say energy policymakers.
The Energy Ministry will start raising the price of cooking gas by 50 satang a kilogramme a month from July from 18.13 baht at present. The price will rise for 12 consecutive months to reach 25 baht per kg.
After that, the price will be floated freely to reflect world market prices.
