Thai stocks slipped 0.36% on Friday in cautious trade as investors contemplated further slowing in economic growth.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand Index fell 5.35 points from Thursday to close at 1,481.84, an increase of 2% from the previous Friday's close of 1,453.71. Turnover was 49.14 billion baht, with 15.27 billion shares traded. The local market is up 6.4% from the end of 2012.
The Bank of Thailand on Friday reduced its 2013 growth estimate for the country to 4.2% from 5.1% earlier. It cut its export growth forecast to 4% from 7.5%, reflecting declining demand as the global economy remains weak.
