Carpenter & Paterson Ltd, the British maker of pipe suspension gear, has set up its first Asian factory in Thailand, intending to use the country as a hub to meet demand across the continent.
Workers check out pipe products at the Samut Prakan factory of Carpenter & Paterson (Asia). The new plant is projected to have a combined product output of US$15-20 million a year.
Mark Hyrons, operations director for Carpenter & Paterson (Asia), said that while the new plant started operations in April, yesterday was the official opening.
