Foreign tourist arrivals rose 22.5% year-on-year to 2.22 million in July this year, according to Bank of Thailand data.
The total represents an 8.17% increase from June.
The increase was mainly to due to more tourists from China, Malaysia and Russia, the central bank said.
The occupancy rate was 60.4% last month, up from 57.4% in July, the data show.
Arrivals to Thailand saw year-on-year double-digit growth rates in the first eight months of this year, with February showing the fastest growth of 26.2% to 2.34 million, followed by a 25% increase to 2.05 in June.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand aims to attract a total of 24.5 million foreign tourists this year and 28.01 million in 2014.
