The cabinet has extended the term of the diesel excise tax reduction of 0.005 baht per litre for another month, until Oct 31, deputy government spokeswoman Sunisa Lertpakawat said on Tuesday.
Thetax reduction was set to end on Sept 30.
The tax waiver on the fuel is aimed lowering the cost of living, Lt Sunitsa said.
It keeps the price of diesel below 30 baht a litre for Bangkok and nearby provinces.
