Thailand 'lacks ICT skills'

Thailand remains short of workers skilled in emerging technologies, and this will erode its information and communications technology (ICT) competitiveness once the Asean Economic Community kicks off in late 2015, says a local leading research firm. 

A survey of the readiness of local IT professionals conducted by Thailand's IMC Institute shows demand for emerging technologies and skilled staff are critical for local firms to develop innovative products and enhance business opportunities.

One hundred IT-related companies were surveyed from June to August.
