Rising food and beverage prices pushed headline inflation to 105.76 in October, up 1.46% on last October, deputy permanent secretary for commerce Uravee Ngaorungruang said on Friday.
The consumer price index (CPI) for the month rose 0.17% on September, Ms Uravee said.
Core inflation for October, which excludes food and energy prices, rose 0.71% on the same month last year and 0.12% on the previous month, to stand at 103.35.
The CPI rose 2.27% between January and October 2013, while average core inflation was up 1.03% on the same ten month period in 2012.
The price index for food and beverages stood at 109.62 for October, up 2.87% on the same month last year and an increase of 0.61% on September.
The index for non-food and beverage items stood at 103.52, an increase of 0.75% on last October, but down 0.05% on September, she said.
Ms Uravee projected inflation for 2013 will range between 2.1% and 2.6%.
