Over a hundred employees at Big C Supercentre in Surin gathered at the entrance of the store late on Friday morning demanding the removal of senior management within 24 hours.

They held placards saying “We do not want No1 Siriporn anymore”, and other messages such as “Return happiness to us.”
The placards did not further identify "No1 Siriporn".
Kamolwan Anwanin, 39, chief of financial analysis at the store, joined in the protest.
She said they all opposed the behaviour of the store's management, who were dictatorial and put unfair pressure on staff. The employees wanted two executives to be removed.
They are Siriporn Ampaiwan, the store's manager and Jenjira Homchong, manager of dried food section. Both are new to the store. Ms Siriporn has taken up the position on March 9 and Ms Jenjira started working on May 1.
Employees felt they had to show their unity to see justice done, because all employees already worked hard.
Management was never satisfied with the employees’ performance and always complained, using inappropriate language. Staff were despondent and dissatisfied, and wanted to send a message to the Big-C bosses in Bangkok that they already contributed to the company so they could earn a living.
They wanted managers who wanted to work at the Surin branch, instead of the current management who did not want to be there. They demanded a change of management within 24 hours.
Maj Gen Nirut Ketsiri, chief of National Council for Peace and Order in Surin, Pol Maj Gen Chaitat Inthanuchit, commander of Surin police and Wallop Ruangpornchaoren, Muang district chief went to negotiate with the protesting employees and promised to work with executives at the company headquarters in Bangkok to get a change of management.
Employees later returned to their work.
