The 17-member state enterprise superboard plans to set up three subcommittees as it prepares to review reform plans submitted by various state-owned enterprises, says Kulit Sombatsiri, director-general of the State Enterprise Policy Office and the board's spokesman.

The three subcommittees will be named to review plans from each of 56 state enterprises and suggest revisions, Mr Kulit told a press briefing after the superboard met for the first time yesterday.

The subcommittees are tasked with resolving problems at the state enterprises, mapping out state enterprise strategies to sharpen their competitiveness and providing long-term supervision such as nominating board members and executives.
