A story entitled "SME Bank plans to divest Bt20bn worth of bad loans" published on page 1 of Business section on Aug 9 incorrectly said the Bank of Thailand had announced assistant governor Salinee Wangtal and deputy governor Krirk Vanikkul would take over the chairmanship of two specialised financial institutions. In fact, they will become advisers to the central bank effective Aug 15 after the junta has appointed them to the chairmanship of two SFIs. We regret the error.
