Quality Houses aims to manage risks amid the economic uncertainty, says new president and chief executive Chadchart Sittipunt.

SET-listed developer Quality Houses Plc (QH) aims to achieve 25% growth in presales this year as it plans to launch 30 residential projects worth a combined 33 billion baht.

President and chief executive Chadchart Sittipunt said the projects would cover all market segments including condos, single houses and townhouses, with unit prices ranging from 2 million to more than 140 million baht.

"We will not focus on any single segment or price range as we aim to manage risks amid uncertainty in the macroeconomy," said the former transport minister.

The projects will be mainly in Greater Bangkok, while others will be in places where economic growth is high, driven by industrial estates or tourism business, such as Chon Buri, Rayong, Pattaya, Hua Hin and Chiang Mai.

Two-thirds of projects will be single houses and townhouses because low-rise demand remains strong. The condo market depends on locations due to high household debt.

Mr Chadchart, who joined Quality Houses on Jan 5, plans to improve corporate brand Q House, which he views as too old to capture new-generation homebuyers.

"The company will have a realignment and synergise some subsidiaries that have slowed down," he said.

Quality Houses aims to have 24.1 billion baht in presales this year, up from 19.3 billion in 2014. Revenue will total 24.1 billion baht, up 20%.

The developer reported a net profit of 3.33 billion baht last year on consolidated revenue of 22.43 billion baht, which rose 7% from 2013.

It will launch luxury condo project Q Sukhumvit worth 10 billion baht in Bangkok this month.

The 42-storey building will be located on a three-rai site close to Nana skytrain station. It will comprise 273 units sized 92-350 square metres and priced from 26.3 million baht or 260,000 baht per sq m.

QH shares closed yesterday on the SET at 4.02 baht, down four satang, in trade worth 109.72 million baht.
