AIS call center named 'Best of the Best' employer

Advanced Contact Center Co, a subsidiary of mobile operator group Advanced Info Services Plc, was named a “Best of the Best” employer in 2015 by global human resource firm Aon Hewitt.

The Best Employers study, first conducted in Asia in 2001, has studied the companies in 12 Asian markets through a nine-month selection process.

There are 11 companies receiving the best employers awards for 2015. There were almost 100 companies entering the competition, up from 60 firms in 2014.

Jeremy Andrulis, chief executive officer, Aon Hewitt Southeast Asia, said best employers clearly achieve better business results compared to market. The company found that best employers in China achieve significant higher growth in their income profits when compared to market average.

"This makes becoming a best employer a business agenda and not just an HR agenda," he said.

For Thailand, the most noticeable trends that emerged in the 2015 Best Employers research shows that best employers have high rate of filling vacancy internally and they attain 10% higher growth in profits than market average.

Best employers in Thailand also have high engagement scores at 87%, significantly above the market average of 63%.

The best employers are successful in motivating Gen Y engagement to have the score at 84% while other companies see the average score of only 62%.

Adisak Chandprapalert, managing director of Aon Hewitt Thailand, said there is a significant gap between 88% employees at best employers believing their organisation delivers on promises compared to only 62% of employees at participating organisations.

"Best Employers clearly walk the talk and fulfil their commitment," he noted.
