The Mall Group is planning to open new supermarkets outside of its own shopping complexes.
Thailand's second-biggest department store group wants to explore new opportunities stemming from the boom in community and neighbourhood malls, said Pira A. Pirom, the senior chief merchandising officer for supermarkets.
Last year it opened its first outside supermarket under the Gourmet Market brand in K Village in Sukhumvit Soi 26, behind Big C Extra's Rama IV branch.
