The new board of TOT Plc is expected to include figures allied with Thaksin Shinawatra, some of whom were behind major deals during the term of the former prime minister and brother of the current premier, Yingluck Shinawatra.
Panthep Jamradroamrun is tipped to chair the board of the state telecom enterprise, say sources. Mr Panthep was an adviser to Supachai Pisitvanich when the latter served as permanent secretary of the Finance Ministry and chairman of TOT during the Thaksin era.
Under Mr Supachai's chairmanship, the TOT board changed the revenue-sharing rate on prepaid service for Advanced Info Service, founded by Thaksin.
