The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) is preparing to overhaul regulations and rules governing the quality of telecom service in the event of a major disruption, such as DTAC's network collapse this week.
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Minister will ask the three major mobile operators _ AIS, DTAC and True Move _ to meet next week to discuss service disruption problems.
ICT Minister Anudith Nakornthap said the ministry wants to set up concrete network migration plans for operators to prevent future network collapses. Compensation plans should be implemented to offset customer losses.
