Robots ready to take centre stage at BoI Fair 2011
Who would have thought that a robot used for industrial purposes could play Thai music?
The Ravana Robot, an interactive 10-faced robot that can say greetings via QR Code technology in four languages (Thai, English, Chinese and Japanese), is an attraction at the Thailand Pavilion. TAWATCHAI KEMGUMNERD
In a first for robots normally used for welding and picking up objects, visitors to the BoI Fair can enjoy a musical show, "Harmonisation of Inspiration and Technology", conducted by Narongrit Tosa-nga (aka Khun In), the king of the ranat _ Thai xylophone _ and his robotic partners.
