The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has rejected a request by CAT Telecom to halt its investigation into the third-generation (3G) deal between the state telecom enterprise and True Corporation.
CAT said the probe could overlap with the authority of the Administrative Court and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).
An investigative committee of the NACC reiterated that its scrutiny was limited to possible criminal offences. The committee held its first meeting of the year last Monday.
