The proliferation of wireless devices coinciding with greater demand for mobility and fierce competition is driving demand for smartphones and pushing down prices significantly.
At Thailand Mobile Expo 2012, running from Jan 26-29, prices of smartphones and tablet computers are down by at least 20% thanks to intense competition among international handset makers.
New smartphones are priced below 4,000 baht for the first time, while tablets are below 10,000 baht.
