Software parks combine to share technology, skills

Operators of four software parks have allied to form the Thailand Software Park Alliance in a bid to strengthen the local sector ahead of the advent of the Asean Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.

More than 100 ICT companies plus 500 IT resources have joined the alliance to build the local job market and attract foreign investment, said Suwipa Wannasathop, vice-president for the National Science and Technology Development Agency that oversees Software Park Thailand.

Thailand's software industry was worth over 70 billion baht last year.
