Opponents of the three draft telecom master plans packed yesterday's first public hearing by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), condemning the plans as biased in favour of mobile operators.
Led by the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) and academics, they said the master plans lack protection of consumer interests.
They also discourage newcomers to the telecom industry, said TDRI vice-chairman Somkiat Tangkitvanich.
