The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) is in talks with mobile operators holding concessions on the 1800-megahertz frequency to seek a resolution to their expiring contracts next year.
Concerns about operational and backup services causing service interruptions for customers after the concessions expire is causing both the NBTC and operators to panic.
Operators want to know more about the planned licence auction on the 2100-MHz frequency, as they claim it still lacks clarity.
